I always look for a way to incorporate what I love with a revenue stream, from becoming a Mountain Bike Guide, to selling Custom Glühwein mugs. Pensacola Christmas Mugs and More…
I started an annual Christmas Tradition of creating Pensacola-specific Glühwein mugs as well as Internationally-themed ornaments. I have been continuing this tradition since 2022 and do not plan to stop anytime soon. The One Shoes Diaries
This is more of an art project than a business. Although I do sell our Coffee Table Book, “The Lost Soles” and occasionally a print of a Lost Sole. What started as a fun hobby turned into an obsession. After Losing our home to Hurricane Ivan, Sharon and I moved into a motorhome full-time and toured the United States for almost 4 years. And along the way, I saw a lone shoe sitting on the side of the road. I stopped to photograph it. I then found another and another. Each shoe was documented with its location and was accompanied by the story of its discovery. The project then took on a life of its own. We were featured in Magazines, Newspapers, and CNN even did a feature story on our adventures. The storyline follows ou journey on the road together as a couple finding our way, to the surprise of having a baby boy, Noah, on the way, only to tragically lose him at birth. It then followed us through the healing process, eventually coming full circle to becoming parents at last to our daughter Nora. Well, I guess the circle was not complete since Nora has now started to find and photograph lost soles as well. Check out the One Shoe Diaries website and see some of our “Trophy Shoes”.
